Take a lunch break and swim at Siikakoski Rapids Park and visit the medieval stone church in Pyhtää on your way to the ironworks villages.

Cycling from Kouvola to Kotka typically takes two days. Upon reaching Kotka, you have the option to return to Kouvola via the same route or take a local train. If you have the energy and your legs are up for it, you can continue the route along the western branch of the Kymijoki River (Hirvikoskenhaara). This segment offers a delightful combination of the river valley’s industrial history, beautiful farmlands, and nature.

The route through Hirvikoskenhaara introduces you to two ironworks villages with a rich heritage from the patronal generations. This segment ends back in Kouvola and takes 2-3 days.
