Scenery route of the Kymijoki Valley

Scenery route of the Kymijoki Valley will delight you with its beautiful, rich fields, forested passages and mesmerising atmosphere. The route starts in Kotka and runs via Pyhtää to Kouvola and back to Kotka, covering a total of 73 kilometres of paved road.

Stop at the Valkmusa National Park’s unique swamp landscape and there you can even pick cranberries and cloudberries. Alongside eating berries, stop by the riverside lean-tos to fry sausages or at the Susikoski café for sweet treats. At the end of the tour, go admire one of Kotka’s famous, award-winning parks in Karhula.
